Happy Monday, babes!
By now I’m sure you know how much I love rooftops, and Downtown Los Angeles just opened the best one yet. Spire 73 is the incredibly swanky, modern open-air bar located on the 73rd story of InterContinental Los Angeles. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautiful lobbies and structured landscaping, but the rooftop bar is something out of a dream. While sipping a delicious craft cocktail, you can take in sweeping city views from the highest open-air bar in all of the Western Hemisphere.
I had the pleasure of visiting this soon-to-be staple last week and was immediately struck by the lush expanse of grass covered seating, beachy cabanas and romantic fire pits. It took a lot of self control not to at least dip my toe in the beautiful fountain centered on the patio. The bar itself is long and open concept, with a modern flair that makes you feel like you’ve been transported to the bougiest of space ships. Most importantly, the cocktail menu rivals all of my favorite spots in LA, and the wine list includes multiple sparkling rosé options (obviously this bar get me).
For all of its pros, there is one drawback that will hopefully be a non-issue as more staff is hired. You will wait in line. No matter what time you go or what day of the week, there will be a long wait to get all the way up. You’ll also wait to be served, but let me tell you…it is so worth it.
Words can’t capture how amazing the view and ambiance is. I’m a sucker for city lights and you truly can’t be those at Spire 73.
